Home Health Aide
Duties and Responsibilities:
Change dressings.
Perform a variety of duties as requested by client, such as obtaining household
supplies and running errands. Accompany clients to doctors' offices and on
other trips outside the home, providing transportation, assistance and companionship.
Administer prescribed oral medications under written direction of physician or
as directed by home care nurse and aide. Care for children who are disabled or
who have sick or disabled parents. Massage patients and apply preparations and
treatments, such as liniment, alcohol rubs, and heat-lamp stimulation. They
help the elderly people do their personal needs.
Salary: $ 36,000
Education: They
need to be National Association for Home Care and Hospice to be certified. To
earn their credential, applicants must complete 75 hours of training, demonstrate
their skill and pass a written examination. The BLS notes that candidates in
some states may need to complete additional requirements to obtain
certification.
Yes I would like to be a home health aide because I would
like to help elderly people. Cause I think that is a well-paid job and I think
is very thoughtful for people to help other people.
